This post is a bit overdue, but nonetheless I am thankful McKinley got to experience her first Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is
one of my favorite holiday. Nothing is more satisfying to my taste buds than a plate of mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, stuffing, cranberry salad, and turkey smothered in gravy. Certainly not the healthiest meal of the year.
We spend our Thanksgiving venturing out to Newark, Ohio, or “The Farm” where my husband’s father lives. At Great Grandma’s house we gather for prayer and break bread. A time to catch up with all the cousins and aunts and uncles. This year everyone got to meet miss McKinley and for some it was the very first time. Here are some great pictures from the day:
Another BIG tradition for our family on Thanksgiving is the DETROIT LIONS football game. Our favorite…favorite…team. Yes, I’m being serious.
McKinley had a wonderful holiday! She did seem quite quizzical over her mashed potatoes, but that did not stop her from opening wide! 🙂
This Sunday, the Lions are playing the Colts. Get your game face on! Go Lions!!!
